Culinary Business Ventures, Inc. was established in 1998 as a spin off company of the Buffalo Burrito Company, Inc. (a healthy fast food restaurant) and Free Style Catering, Inc. (a diverse catering company) both established in 1994 and successfully sold in 2002. As both original companies expanded into an all encompassing food businesses including catering, both high end and for non-profits on a budget, wholesale food manufacturing, airline catering for commercial and private planes, and all types of consulting on outdoor food events as well as other resort related affaires, the new company was formed to utilize all facets of these experiences in order to become a trouble shooting consulting company.
Janine Donnellan is continuing as owner and chef of this company and brings her diverse entrepreneur, restaurant and chef experience together with the struggles of living and working in an extreme resort such as Aspen, Colorado. Combined with her Aspen and New York restaurant experiences, is over a decade of working with Food & Wine Magazine on the Aspen Food & Wine Magazine Classic. From the first big event of catering 2,000 persons per day in a snow storm on a ski slope for the Aspen World Cup, to summer weddings, to the 16,000 meals for the staff of ESPN X Games VIII, to the latest events of coordinating the Old Timer’s Party for the Aspen Historical Society and coordinating the breakfast for 1500 runners in an Outward Bound 170 mile Relay, we strive to see the not obvious, but better, less expensive or more efficient way to carry out your event.
